During my tenure at Intuit, spanning almost a decade, I had the privilege of supporting various aspects of their products and assisting small business and accounting clients. This involved providing support to QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online clients, handling payroll and payroll tax related issues, and working on the small business live bookkeeping team. My time at Intuit instilled in me a profound passion for accounting and an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction. Through my close collaboration with small businesses, I witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact that effective financial management had on their overall success. This experience ignited a deep curiosity within me, compelling me to delve into the intricacies of the accounting world. My initial venture into entrepreneurship commenced with my involvement in rim and tire sales. This endeavor imparted invaluable lessons about the significance of bookkeeping and accounting. As a first-time business owner, I personally encountered the challenges that arise from a lack of knowledge in this domain. This firsthand experience further strengthened my resolve to alleviate such hardships for fellow entrepreneurs. Motivated by this drive, I established my current business, where my sole focus is to deliver comprehensive and expert bookkeeping and consultation services. My ultimate objective is to alleviate the burden on business owners and empower them with the knowledge and expertise they need to thrive in their endeavors
My Story
I am a proud mother of six wonderful children, ranging in age from 6 to 24. With three boys and three girls, my life is always filled with joy, energy, and fulfillment. My husband, Cedric, and I have been happily married for nearly eighteen years, and together we embrace the flexibility that comes with running our own business. Even during our busiest seasons at Jones Bookkeeping & Consulting Services (JBCS), we make it a priority to keep our children actively involved in their pursuits. Our oldest son, Marcel, not only excels as a high school quarterback but also assists with our administrative tasks, while his sister, Naleah, serves as one of our accounting clerks in addition to maintaining an outstanding academic record. She is enrolled in all A/P honors classes, is Vice President of the Math and Science Academy, Vice President of the National Math Honor Society, and President of her school’s Speech and Debate team. Both Marcel and Naleah are high school seniors and will be heading off to college in just a few short months. Our younger boys enjoy playing football, and our youngest daughter, Leilani, is already showing her passion for gymnastics. Family life keeps us in constant motion, but it is truly rewarding.
When I’m not with my family, you’ll find me dedicated to my clients or furthering my education. I hold two Associate’s degrees (in Business and Art) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting. My long-term goal is to earn my MBA, and I approach this journey with patience and balance to ensure sustainable success.
With nearly 15 years of accounting experience, I understand firsthand the challenges small business owners and entrepreneurs face. Their resilience and determination inspire me daily.
